Trying to make up my mind if it's worth getting another set of wheels for off roading. Does anyone know for sure if factory wheels off a hilux surf will fit? The size of the wheels im looking at are 15x7 with offset 8 and my factory alloys are 15x6. Would the offset be the same or suitable? Any clues on how to find the offset? The only thing stamped on the inside of my wheel is - 15x6JJ DOT 11 98 27JR

stud pattern is the same but I think overall width and tyre diameter will be way to big and may stick out past wheel arches , then you need flares.
also on full lock they may scrub on front wheel arch.
Id also love to chuck a decent set of wheels on mine but really limited with the hiace design with the door making up the wheel arch.
Back not a problem,heaps of room.
I would look for a wrecker who will let you try some on to see if they fit.
I am thinking on trading mine in on a Delica V6 petrol long wheel base or Hilux and putting a slide on camper on the tray.

I've fitted a set of 9mm spacers on mine, gives a bit more track and can;t say that i've noticed any problems with the slight difference in offset. The wheels are slightly out, but still ok to get by without arch extensions

yeah I had a V6 pajero , bought it with 15,000 kms on the clock and it used oil from day one then at 50,000 km's started to miss fire and it had corrosion in the cylinder heads , and I always kept good coolant in it. Top 4X4 but crap engine.
I am going to the Hilux ,pity the new shape looks so ugly , wouldn't mind getting old shape with 1KZ engine but not many for sale.

I'd much prefer sleep in my van than the back of a ute down the snow!
