hello all,

just found this site, been a member of the teoc (and bok before that) for a while, having owned our hiace camper for about seven years and our liteace for two (i think). i hope that being a non-super custom, i am still allowed in!

some of the vans on here are absolutely stunning, well done to all. ours is standard apart from the vinyl wrap (which is due to come off this year as it's not the best to be honest). underneath that the van is a plain dark blue (quite smart but not exciting!) it's an earlyish wellhouse leisure import, with their own interior conversion. our plan was for a full metalflake respray in dark blue, but the local guy couldn't get the van in his booth, hence the wrap. the van has been all over the uk, and has been faultless, needing only batteries etc, and new brakes this year. i had the autobox fluid replaced after a big trip through the scottish highlands cooked the old stuff last summer, and it's smooth as silk now.

money/time will be the main factors (aren't they always?) affecting the paint finish we go for, so i'm still thinking about that. one question i've got regards the 'supercustom' rear end. how easy is it to retro-fit the light assembly to a plain tailgate? also, is anyone supplying any alloys to suit in the uk, as ours are past their best, and i've always fancied a bit more bling on the bus!

anyway, i'm off to try and get some pics up, the gallery function isn't working for me just now, telling me the size of all the pics is too much. i've only uploaded my avatar as yet, so don't know what's going on there?
