| Hello All Just wanted to help out all the newby's trying to remove the headlights to change the globes and or convert to HID "Thanks to "moogdrew" for helping with info" First you have to take both the indicators out - this is done by removing the screw on the back of the indicator in the door pillar, Removing the indicators by pushing the black clip out from behind. Be careful ease it out held in here with a lug held in here with a lug Then you have to remove both the sidelights - they are held in by one screw behind the indicator that holds the chrome trim that the sidelight is set in to - you have to push them forwards from behind too. Very gently pulling and pushing forward Now you can get to the screws that hold the top of the grill/front panel on (on the end of the thin bits that go over the headlights) once you've removed the screws the rest of the grill is held in by a row of about 5 plastic clips along the bottom of the grill so you have just got to pull gently and hope! - mine is now held in by zip ties lol Once the grill is off the headlights are removed with 4 bolts. Bottom left Bottom Right Top Right Top Left ***** HID Install pics will be uploaded when the HID lights turn up in the next few days and if i feel up to it i might even do a comparrision of 55/60w standard 90/100w phillips and 55w 43000k HID***** The headlight bulbs are standard H4 55/60w The fog-light bulbs are H3C 55w You can use a standard H3 fog-light bulb you just have to add a wire to the bulb holder to plug in to the negative on the connector |

| Thanks, good post! It's a helluva carry on to remove lamps eh? but worth doing, as I found bulbs and a loom for the fog/day light - even the relay was there - I just had to add a switch |

| Nice work mate!!! Hay what type of H4 HID did you go for? Just single Hid with no hi beam? or Halogen/Hid hi/lo beam or even solenoid operated hi beam from the look's of it in your pic's? I converted my fog lights to HID but not really sure if it's the way to go with my main lights. Let us know what you think after driving at night? - Brightness and quality of the beam pattern? |

Hi matty - are the h3 and h3c the same fitting in the lamp i.e. a half round and square cutout to fit into the headlamp shell? - and you only need to solder an earth wire onto the bulb? |
