PostSubject: Central locking   Thu Oct 18, 2007 5:00 pm

Anyone have details on the central locking configuration. Is the trigger Neg ,Pos or both. New stereo and immobiliser fitted but I would like to interface the locking with the immobiliser which has this facility built in. Wiring colours and placement of the CL control module would be helpfull if anyone has these. I have tried all over for a wiring diagram without success so far. Just a note on dealers, my local dealer is most helpfull and has put my bus on the Toyota computer so that any enquiry just needs the Reg no. to bring up all the info. Virtually any parts are available in a few days from the Toyota centre in Belgium. It may be worth starting a page on Import friendly dealers here for members to note when away.

Had to fit a slave central locking motor on mine as the lock in the cab door doesn't have a drive motor, only a signal sender to comand the remaining central lock motors.
The factory unit worked from a pos/neg signal via a control unit when I was playing with mine, so went on the good old bay and got a central lock motor to contol the driver's door lock, which threw the remaining locks.
If your alarm/imm is good, it will indicate how to connect single drive motor. Smile

HI, Spud gun, Thanks for the reply. My bus has central locking from the key, thus probably has a motor in the cab door. I am trying to interface the alarm to reduce the button pushing. I cannot thiink why wiring info is not available, this would solve the problem .

When you say it is done by the key, do you mean you use the key in either door and will unlock all, or do you have a key with remote buttons on it? May have the answer if I can establish how the system works. Smile

My wife has a Toyota Hiace 2.4D GSLWB 1998

Having trouble starting it in the mornings, she has taken it to a diesel specialist and a electrical specialist neither can work out the problem.

I see you deal with electric faults I'd appreciate any comments.

Many thanks

Hi Malcolm,
Worth knowing how long it takes for the glow plug light to go out and what work that you have had done (what parts have been replaced to date).
All being well, should get an idea of where to look next.

HI, Spud. Have been away, My bus locks from a button on the key which locks all doors, however the other doors do not operate each other. It also has the speed operated locking which does not unlock on slowing down. Not too keen on this last feature however.Hope this clarifies things

Will get onto Meta and find out if they have a Top/Mid Pulse wiring diagram for this bus (for those that do not know, this type of alarm can be controlled by the original central lock key). Leave it with me.
