PostSubject: Door locks   Sun Apr 15, 2012 8:22 pm

Some filthy chav scum* tried to bust the lock on our van last night so now we have a knackered driver lock.

Good first port of call anyone?
Are lock's easy to fit/come by?
What are people's experience of Toyota main dealers like for their old hiaces? Do they give a monkeys or just charge loads and do a bad job.

Blathering by now I think so I'll sign off and hope for words of solace/wisdom

xMark

Spare locks were £130 for a set from Toyota. Allow upto 3 weeks for these Ďas its an importí. Turned out to be a week in the end.

Anyone know how to fit them?

Edit: Whole I was picking up the parts the guy showed me their parts website. I wish we could access one of those! Would make life a lot simpler!

Best
Mark

Oh I use this but it doesn;t have a funky interactive exploded diagram. You have to know what the thing is called and then look. And that isn't always obvious

The diagrams were blocked for the UK, don't know why, in an agreement to continue to use them for the rest of the World.

Diagrams on DVD sometimes available on ebay called Toyota EPC - Electronic Parts Catalogue.
