Does anyone know if the roof and side panels of the cruising cabins are already insulated? I find it gets very hot and am thinking of doing a couple of things to reduce this. one is to respray the raising roof section the silvery colour which matches the bottom of these vans, so increasing the reflectivity. Another is to look into insulation them more. Any one done either of these things?

I recently dismantled some parts of my interior, to do some wiring, and prepping to get the engine redone. There seems to be bits of insulatoin here and there, kind of random, and some parts with none. Sitting right on top of the engine does get rather warm.. I know there is that reflective foil insulation that comes in rolls, not sure how you'd get it to stay..

Mostly likely to be noise insulation rather than heat barrier.
