PostSubject: Wheelie dangerous   Sun Jul 21, 2013 10:11 pm

I have had a little vibration for a few days now and thought it may be the wear indicators on the tyres or maybe a uni on the way out ..I intended to take her to my garage and have the problem looked at this morning ..
Wasn't to be , I was leaving a mates place last night and had a trip on the M1 with a 110km limit , when the wife said .."can you hear that loud noise "so back to Bill's and rang RACQ ..
Explained the problem noise so he went for a run with me and told me to go back ..he showed me where the noise was coming from ..the rear passenger side wheelnuts  were just about off ..now I don't know if this was from someone needing the wheels more than me ..or the mechanics forgot to tighten after the last service about three and a half  weeks ago ..
So am putting locknuts on today ...
Could have had dire consequences losing a wheel at 110 k ..

No damage to threads ..so we were just plain lucky I guess ..could have been hairy to say the least ..the guys at F1 tyres put new locknuts on today and only charged for the nuts ..top service ..now just have to wire up the new spotties installed on our new nudgebar..the old girl wont know what hit her (the van that is )..

Awesome, nothing big has gone wrong. If they charged for the nuts only then that's a pretty good service.
It's good experience I guess
