 milky water in radiator. head been fixed all ready.

Could it be oil cooler gasket ? I'm not sure. Engine oil fine . Doesn't overheat. Please help

Sounds strange. I would flush the system properly and see if it comes back.

Took it to a mechanic who diagnosed trans fluid entering coolant through radiator. New radiator and all sweet as now .

Good mechanic, I'd use that one again!

BTW: This is what happened to all the Mercedes when GM took over - they cheaped out on the radiator and the same failure occurred: Transmission oil and water mixed.

In the Mercedes this used to write off £7,000 gearboxes because the coolant would literally eat the bearings in the auto transmission, so I'd be doing a regular change of transmission fluid to ensure you are completely clear of coolant there. This is the one case where I'd risk a complete fluid flush of the transmission. Perhaps the mechanic can test for contaminated transmission fluid?

He did test it and was all clear. Was under pressure one way and not the other so was forcing oil into radiator but no water into trans.
