All switches /sliders in cold position fan in front on full fan in back/overhead only on slow but does go off and on when switch operated. Site glass under front of SC next to windscreen bottle shows fluid moment so assume pump is working but still no cold air and no condensate from drain pipes, my Landcruiser drains condensate continually when AC on, still baffled any more ideas anyone before i commit to local AC centre.

You also don't feel the pipes getting cold I guess?

It sounds as if you need to go to the AC company.

That is correct no cold pipes anywhere most unusual especially as the pressure is up and pump turning as there are two systems connected (front and back) there must be a valve or something involved still baffled?.

There may be a sight glass under the van - in front of the left hand side wheel toward the center.

Clean it and then see what's in there, nothing, fluid or bubbles.

Hi GPW the sight glass underneath is showing plenty movement fluid bubbles I assume this shows pump is working, am about to check the fusses again and relays if I find it.

Interesting that regassing was useful - perhaps those bubbles were lack of gas.
The rear A/C is in the roof above the front seat headrests - is that the one failing? There are 2 fans under there BTW.

Hi yes the unit above the headrests switch on the front vents pointing rearwards two slider controls in the middle a very faint fan noise when switch on used to be a powerful blower last summer, the SC is low mileage so assume its not had excessive use. Think it must be some control fuse relay thermostat etc circuit diagram would be useful if anybody has one.

Living in hope JT69

Hi All Air Con now fully functional blowing cold front and rear, problem was fuse in box next to footrest marked AC 2 had been removed and put back in wrong place, just one of life's mistakes.

Great Joy JT69

Good job working it out JT69.
I love the A/c in my van. Every baking hot day that I use it I thank God again that I didn't follow the crowd (or is it sheep?_ and buy a tatty VW without A/C for the same money as my Hiace.
