Help - anyone online that can give me a list of what the old wires really are colored by as the wiring diagram available at installdr is not correct.
for instance, i have two pinks, two browns (which i'm guessing each set relate to one speaker) rather than one pink, one purple and one red and one white - these just dont add up at all...
heard about getting a new harness but old one already removed so not really an option here...

Pairs of colours usually are +ve and -Ve of speakers. Look for a narrow strip on one to tell the difference.

If you get the polarity wrong the speaker will travel the wrong way. ( you will still get sound but may damage the speaker later)

I usually touch the pair onto a speaker and then left - right and front - back pan the balance to tell which connections you have

Hubby spent another couple of hours checking it out last night - sorted the power feeds and the speakers but found there are four wires that dont appear to do anything - wondering whether there is an internal amp hidden somewhere in the van - we have a 1995 super custom.
just dont want to hook up new system and have it blow and lose the warranty if the surplus wires are critical for something...
