Hi, has anyone ever seen a black oil like substance slowly leaking around the inlet manifold gasket joints where it bolts to the head?
On mine, cylinders 1 & 4 seem to be leaking this black oil out and the only place I can imagine this coming from is the turbo but I wouldnt think this would be leaking out the inlet joints?
I've checked the manifold nuts and they all appear tight.

If you take the inlet manifold off you will find it coated with oil. Test it for warpage, and if it is get it machined flat. New gasket and no more leaks.

That sounds drastic but makes sense.....is this a common thing that happens after awhile....have you had to do this before?

Had to do it on a 2CT Townace engine, inlet seeping ooze and exhaust whistling. Mush the same design as the 1KZ-TE.
