G'day from sunny Melbourne (29.6 C today!),

in a previous post I mentioned that when we bought the SC (July) we were made aware of an overheating problem and hence budgeted for the worst case repair scenario when we made the final offer for the vehicle... Well, we haven't got around doing anything about it thus far but have looked into the problem more carefully. This link

contains the follow up so far...

Comments appreciated.

As you probably now aware there is a secondary radiator and as there is no oil in water I would check the thermostat and bottom rad before I lifted head. I have found that my over heating problem on a big climb is that the thermo fan doesn't cut in until the bloody thing is 1-2 over normal on digi dash. I assume that this is set for a lot colder clime than Queensland. I also assume that it is in the cpu that this setting can be changed. I'm not worrying about it now as we are shifting to a flat area away from the Mountain Smile
Good luck with your problem
