Well, the vans in the shop to get the tints re-done, I wasent impreesed by the previous owners tint job. So im getting darker tints in the rear 5% infact and the drivers and passenger doors and front sunroof will be 35%.

Oh i have now put in 2x12 Alpine Type R subwoofers lol, sounds good.
Will be replacing the factory front and rear speakers sometime in the near future.

Hey cheers AussieQ

Well i got the van back with 5% tints on the sides rear and 35% on the drivers and passenger and front sunroof.
Looks good but one of the windows is a different glass. Its a reflective, so because im fussy, ill be looking for a normal clear window and have tinted. Youll see what i mean once i post up a pic.

Just had a quote for some rims (17x10 on the rear and 17x9 on the front with suitable offset).

Also gonna start looking for some speakers to replace the factory jobbies.

I know the rears in the roof are 4" with a tweeter, and assuming the fronts are 4" too being in the very front under glove box and ignition area, any ideas whats in the back low side panels?

Ill be just replacing the 4" with 2 or 3way coaxles and not splits (not keen on splits).

Yeah i didnt intend to buy the rear bar and skirts but they came up on a local trading site (trademe.co.nz) for real cheap and these dont ever appear. so when they did, i had to snap em up.

Ill be concentrating on the wheels and suspension first and then re-asess the order lol

Ive only had the van for just over a week and i absolutely love it, havent had the chance to drive it as much as id like due to army commitments but getting there.

Just got my paltes today so id thought id flick up a pic, i also pulled the pinstripes off one side and will do the other side to give it a slightly cleaner look.

oh and a pic of the new 5% tints and to show the difference in one of the side glass windows. There is a reflective mirror type glass and the normal clear. Im fussy so gonna replace the reflective piece with a clear so it looks dark like the rest of the windows.

Also came across these so i purchased them as any Supercustom kits are hard to come by in NZ, cheap too so im wrapped. Just needs a little tidying up before fitting and painting.

Nah no trouble getting them off at all, just alittle time consuming, you have to keep grabbing the pinstripes when pulling them off and try not to let the pulled off pieces get too long or they break off, i found this out fast to save picking to get it started again. Any sticky adheisive left can be taken off with Mineral Turpentine, just simply apply heaps on the area with a rag and scrape off with a plastic spatulartype tool or what i used is my surfboard wax combe and then a final wipe with the turps and rag. presto.

Yay the kits on its way.....

Heres a couple of pics of the kit on the guys van before pulling it off and selling it to me.Next.......some 17x10 rears and 17x9 fronts, thinking of 235/50/17's all round...any thoughts on tyre size selection? Have thought of 50 profile instead of 45 as wanting atleast some ride comfort...

Well its been a while since ive been on here as ive had nothing to update till now. Just bought these mags the other day.
Theyre Brand Trial - Zelda's, rears are 17x9's wrapped in 255/40/17 and the fronts are 17x8's wrapped in 235/45/17. The offset is +35.

Still working on reinforcing my kit, so will pick up the pace so i can get it painted and fitted, then lowered.

Hey there everyone,

well not alot has really been happening with the SC apart from taking the rear seats out and making a false floor and slamming in a double mattress and making good use of it on a few roadies....blardy awesome fun, its wicked not having to worry about the expense of accommodation and parking up anywhere on the side of the road as it looks like a standard van and not a stealth camper lol Ive enjoyed every moment of it and cant get enough. anyway, ill include a pic of one early morning when i was away and thought id capture it.

some other pics of some second hand rims i just bought and cant wait to get them on..... SSR Vienna's 18x10 37+ offset, ill wrap them in 255/45/18. i only have the the 2 so ill probably be looking like a drifter with the odd set of wheels on, 18x10's on the rear and 17x9's on the front lol.....anyway, hope yas like.....if not....i dont care anyway lol ;-P

trial fit

it clears!

you can see my bed base and bed in this pic lol
